The Story of the Giraffe T-Shirt

There really isn't much of a story behind this shirt. We like giraffes. They're kind of goofy looking, but they're graceful in their own lumbering way. So, we decided to make a giraffe t-shirt .

Some General Information About Giraffes:

1. It is generally agreed upon that there are 9 sub-species of giraffes. All of which are found in Africa. These nine are the Angolan giraffe, the Kordofan giraffe, the Masai giraffe, the Nubian giraffe, the Reticulated giraffe, the Rhodesian giraffe, the South African giraffe, the Ugandan giraffe, and the West African giraffe. Just a little background.

2. Giraffe's long necks allow them to forage the leaves that other animals cannot reach. But you probably allready knew this.

3. A giraffe can eat around 80 lbs of vegetation a day and drink around 10-11 gallons of water a day. Bet you didn't know that.

4. The giraffe only has to sleep between a half hour and two hours a day. Kind of like that rumor going around concerning Pablo Picasso.

5. Giraffes can run around 30 miles an hour. We told you they were fast.

6. The gestation period for giraffes is 14 months. We're pretty sure this is going to help you in a Trivial Pursuit game at some point.
